Crossing Over ~ the promise of mortality~
This installation will see Ishii recreate a sort of memory of "home". Through the use of found objects and juxtapositions different theatre set-sculpture, we will see the space transformed into a sort of 'dream', a room, caught in space and time on an in nite or unknowable loop. This home-from-home space looks closely at alienation, being removed from-, memories, migration, economics and time. Through simple, yet sad empty motifs, Ishii conveys a sense of the unkown or unknowable, a shared sense of what and why it is like to be left behind.
